London's The Mules compose some neat rockabilly, folk, electrobilly music. They've released a few singles, an EP and a full length on Organ Grinder Records and they tour the UK often. I don't think they've spent any time in the US, but I would like to see them and their lead singer/drummer. Check out these songs.

Bloc Party is one of my favorite bands of the last few years. In February of '05 I saw them at The Troubadour in Los Angeles and Seal (yes, "Kiss From A Rose" Seal) was there belting out lyrics to every song. And that's when I knew I needed to move away from LA. Just kidding! Check out some remixes!

Gallows are a punk band from the UK. There's a band called The Bronx who released a really great debut album, The Bronx. Then they released their sophomore effort, The Bronx, on a major label. I'm sure that second album title alone gives you some insight into their creativity flow. Anyway, Gallows sound akin to the first The Bronx record and I hear a little Drive Like Jehu in there as well, which is awesome. I never saw these guys perform at sxsw (venue too far away), but I saw them at a few different shows and they seem like a fun bunch. Listen to these songs if you need some energy! They don't make punk rock like they used to.

English singer/songwriter/violinist/composer extraordinaire Patrick Wolf's The Magic Position has been my favorite record of 2007 thus far. I love his upbeat, quirky, electronically fringed tracks, but these two that bring a close to the album are some of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Don't believe me? Try them!
