The D'Urbervilles are from Canada and they play a sort of festering, brooding indie rock and roll, slowly building energy and adding instruments. The songs pull you in more the further you move along so stick with it! Enjoy.

Ok, so I'm in a very Toronto mood today apparently. I promise to balance it out with some Montréal at the very least very soon. Crystal Castles may or may not actually be a band. They sound like a band, but adamantly protest being labeled so. They also never give interviews, but apparently if you're lucky some of their friends may answer a few inquiries about CC. Oh, and this is the link to their 'band website' from their myspace page. Ha. One thing is certain though - their songs are dynamo and their remixes of other dynamo songs are rather special as well. I'm playing Contra tonight.

Ah, hand claps and 'heys!' Sold. These Canadians by way of Toronto should be releasing an album sometime soon and I cannot wait. Neither can Warp or XL Records for that matter. Plus, they cover this band Grizzly Bear and I heard those guys were supposed to be good or something. Yes please.
